TITLE: Data Analyst

EngenderHealth Tanzania is seeking expressions of interest from highly qualified candidates for the Data Analyst Position of an anticipated DFID funded programme – Scaling Up Family Planning in Tanzania. This 5-year programme aims to scale up access to FP in rural and urban areas, enabling women to safely plan their pregnancies and improve their sexual and reproductive health and rights. The programme will integrate a comprehensive range of services including care for victims of sexual violence and post abortion care and will seek innovative ways to reach people with disabilities, refugees and young people with family planning (FP) services.
Position Description:
Data Analyst will support the Project Monitoring, Evaluation and Research (MER) Team to communicate and coordinate data and information on a daily basis with the Project consortia team and relevant Ministries. S/he should be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines and have a working knowledge of data analysis tools/software. S/he will support HMIS advisers based at the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender and Elderly (Reproductive Health Section) and President Office –Regional Administration and Local Government (Health, Social Welfare and Nutrition Division) to analyze and develop analytic models for respective Ministries.
Key Qualifications:
• Degree in statistics, economics or related quantitative field,
• Three plus years of relevant experience
• Ability to execute on short-term initiatives and longer-term strategies
• Ability to work with complex data sets and topics
• Strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills with experience communicating on an executive level
• Demonstrate diagnostic, problem solving and analytical skills

Position Description:
The Finance Manager works in a complimentary fashion with the Head of Finance and the Project Director to effectively lead and manage the project’s essential finance systems for budgeting, financial monitoring and reporting, consultants, as well as sub-award procedures. The Finance Manager provides regular technical support and training to operations and project teams as well as to other partner organizations to help them establish sound, reliable, effective, and efficient financial management systems. S/he will work with the project team to develop the procedures for the administration and management of the grants and contracts. S/he will also monitor the grant funds; develop the project’s financial reports to donors as well as submissions to the agency’s HQ in DC.
Key Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree or other advanced degree in finance, business administration, or other related field. Professional certificate (ACCA, CPA) is mandatory
• Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in the administration and financial management of a large program of national, and preferably regional/international scope.
• Proven experience in development and implementation of systems for grants and grant monitoring.
• Knowledge of UK government funding rules and regulations, financial reporting and disclosure requirements.
• Demonstrated skills in negotiations and effective communications with partner organizations and sub-grantees.
• Ability to facilitate decision-making processes and to build constructive alliances internally and externally.
• Ability to provide technical support and training in finance and administration.
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to be flexible and manage and accomplish multiple priorities; goal oriented.
• Knowledgeable about information technology systems, including business software
• Exceptional interpersonal, teamwork, communication, partnering and supervisory skills.
